Course Overview

What this course covers

Most people get disappointing results from AI assistants because they ask vague questions and accept the first answer. The difference between a useless reply and a genuinely useful one is almost entirely in how the request is made.

This course teaches prompting as a practical skill: giving context and constraints, assigning a role, showing examples, iterating on output, and building reusable prompts for tasks you repeat every week. Students also learn where AI is unreliable, how to verify its claims, and how to keep private data out of these tools.

  • Build a reusable prompt library for your recurring work
  • Use AI for research, writing, analysis, planning and learning
